If you are reading this post or my blog in general, you probably are a software enginner, programmer, designer – a person who spends considerable amount of time at their desk, similar to me.

Writing comments is something you need to get used to; sooner or later you will understand it’s worth writing comments. Haven’t you find yourself in a sitation where you don’t understand what a couple of lines of YOUR OWN code do? I have…
XML documentation comments are also important, particularly for public members/methods. Even if your project doesn’t require generating full XML documentation of the code, using Intellisense can be much more effective if it summarizes the method you are trying to use. If you want to generate XML documentation for C# in the twinkling of an eye you MUST install Roland Weigelt’s GhostDoc plugin for Visual Studio. Let me cite the author:

If you’re bored with standard Windows XP Themes and you’d like to try something different, have a try with Windows XP official Zune Theme. You can have a look at it on Softpedia.
I haven’t had any problems with it and I’m pretty hapy with the effect
A few months ago I wrote about Xobni, a plugin for Outlook. I created that post basing only on what I learned on their homepage.
A few weeks later Xobni team sent me an email with a special link to the installation file. I downloaded and installed Xobni, and played with it.
I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and I must say I’m very satisfied! I’ve been using it most to find emails or attachments in my Inbox or Archive folder; this works pretty fast and is very handy. Searching mailbox has never been easier
It’s also interesting to see the email statistics like characteristics of email traffic, who you keep in touch most frequently, etc. There are even a few more useful features which you can discover yourself
To sum up, I really recommend this Xobni. It’s a great piece of software that can save you much time!

Xobni is declared to be a new look at your email. Even the neme is tightlt connected to email – “xobni” is the word “inbox” backwords
All in all, Xobni is a plugin for Microsoft Outlook that comes along with Microsoft Office. According to the authors Xobni allows:
- fast email search
- extract phone numbers from emails
- fast access to email attachments
- view emails as threaded conversation
- navigate your inbox by people
- presentic email statistics
Currently, Xobni works only with Microsoft Outlook. In future it is planned to assist Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Thunderbird and other email platforms.
The first impression is great. However, I haven’t tested it yet because I couldn’t download it. In the download page I could only read:
We have reached the limit of our open-invitation beta period. We will be rolling out beta invitations over the next several weeks.
The only thing I could do was to sign up and wait for invitation to download this tool. Still waiting…
Should you have any experience with Xobni, please share it.
Have you ever lacked from run menu from KDE (Alt+F2) in your Windows? Try Launchy. It’s open source software that not only runs programs you have installed on your PC but also can launch your documents, project files, bookmarks etc.
I really recommend it! To learn more, see Launchy homepage.
Pandora is one of the most popular streaming services. You just type an artist’s or the song name and Pandora serves you a collection of similar music. It bases on rich songs descriptions and evaluations of songs. You are allowed to create your stations, invite friends or listen to their music.
Thus, it is an example of online community services – people collaborate, share opinions, share music. After some time of listening, for each user there is a music profile created. This profile helps Pandora choose tracks to play for him and for other with similar music taste.
Recently, I’ve noticed a very interesting post about how to boost the player and get more out of it. Look the lifehacker. I escpecially like open-pandora project, which serves stand alone player – takes its load off your web browser.
